I have always said to my choirs and singers, “If it is not pretty people won’t listen!” My career as a choral conductor, coach of choral ensembles and voice teacher has always focused on inspiring singers to want to be exceptional, to be the choir or singer that everyone wants to listen to! I make the learning process fun, focusing on giving solid vocal technique… all to produce that extraordinary sound. To do this, I get right to the heart of the choral or vocal issue with the diagnosis; and then, immediately deliver the prescription, which is so rare. In my coaching, I love to help choral conductors build the ideal sound that they hear in their heads, but struggle to create with their choirs. And, I relish the moment when I unleash the sound that the choir or singers always had inside them, but just hadn't achieved.
